The Raspberry Pi is a small computer, about the size of a credit card. It's not your typical computer. It's an industrial and educational computer system, running various Linux operating systems, which has found its way into countless industrial, personal, and educational projects over the years. Released in 2012, it started with the goal to make an ultra affordable computer system that nearly anyone could afford.
While early versions were limited in their use as an everyday computer for most people, the Raspberry Pi 5 has become a real option for people needing an affordable, capable, rugged computer for basic tasks. With some extra hardware, time, and tinkering, it's possible to get a very capable computer for not a lot of money. My goal is to explore what's possible with the Raspberry Pi computers, and educate others on technology, using these special computers.
On this page you'll find various resources related to getting the most out of these wonderful little computers. Currently, the Raspberry Pi 5 series is the newest and most capable Raspberry Pi ever released, but the previous Raspberry Pi 4 series has proven useful as well. My work here is focused on the Pi 5 and beyond. I hope you enjoy my journey into the world of trying to use a Raspberry Pi as my main computer. This page was created on a Pi 5.
